Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21, 1983) is a famous American actor. Most notably, she appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Born in Worthington Ohio she left high school to move to Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. Though she struggled financially, her 2001 debut was in the role of Rachel's Room's primary character. The television film Murder in Greenwich where she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the character in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the television series in 2005 to focus on a more significant role in film, appearing opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) Replays of these characters. Grace returned to Shannon's character in Lost for two more episodes. This included the series final. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season, which aired from 2013 until 2014. She plays Faith, who is an admirer and muse to the celebrities. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family and is the elder cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her acting career started as a young teenager with small parts in a few films directed from her father. Also, she worked alongside her brother in 2001's popular movie Donnie Darko. Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the love story Secretary (2002). Both films received acclaim from critics. After several commercially successful films in 2006, including World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). After her successful performance as a mother who is not married on the screen in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she was in comedies and dramas such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 In addition, she played the role of a Secret Service Agent in White House Down the action thriller from 2013, a musician as Frank (2014), a musician Frank (2014) and the lead role on The Kindergarten Teacher, a film that debuted in the year the year 2018. Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her first film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The thriller that dealt with psychological issues was awarded the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival.
