Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career was spent performing with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move to the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially in the younger generations to keep this tradition vibrant.
